Woman's Red Raspberry Tea
ORGANIC Herbs: Red Raspberry leaf, Ladies Mantle herb & Nettles leaf
Even though I named this tea Woman's Red Raspberry it is universal in nature. Red Raspberry leaf is as beneficial to Man & Beast as it is to Woman. Horses respond very well to red raspberry leaves when included in their diet, it has a calming effect on mares. Red Raspberry helps tone all reproductive organs, it brings nutrients & helps work with hormonal balancing. It is excellent for supporting the uterus during pregnancy which in turn can help ease delivery.
Ladies Mantle is known for its support in strengthening tendons & ligament and it's effects on toning & awakening muscle tissue. It also helps when a woman has very heavy periods or just a heavy blood flow for a day. It has the ability to slow it down. It can also help ease painful periods.
**Ladies Mantle is NOT recommended during the 1st. Trimester of pregnancy.
Nettles leaf. Wonderful Nettles leaf. It is so full of nutrients, cleanses the whole urinary system (so this means it supports a healthy prostate for men), a wonderful anti-histamine for allergies & works with the lymphatic system. It makes a great tea but it is even better as a fresh leafy vegetable. Makes great raw pesto & a refreshing summer beer.
Below is a recipe for Herbal infused Wine or Vinegar. Enjoy! Sometimes a cup of tea gets boring so we need to change it up.
1oz. Women’s Red Raspberry tea (about 1 cup a bit packed)
1 bottle White Wine (or your favorite Wine) OR equal amount of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (REAL ---- NOT Flavored!!)
1 – 12oz bag frozen Red Raspberries – thawed
Sweetener if desired such as real Maple Syrup, Raw Honey or Vegetable Glycerin
1) COLD METHOD – Use a large jar such as a 2 quart canning jar. Place the first 3 ingredients into the jar and secure the jar with a tight fitting lid. Label and date the jar. Place the jar in a dark area for a week to a couple of months, shaking daily or weekly. When steeping time is up, strain your wine and sweeten if desired. Bottle and Label. Need not be refrigerated. Enjoy.
We decided about 2 ounces of infused wine is equal to having a cup of tea so it makes a nice night cup before bed. OR Yes! you may enjoy a full glass of wine instead of the 2 ounces.
*Never use metal caps with Vinegar… enjoy as vinaigrette, in drinking water or in other cooking.
2) MULLED METHOD - Put herbs and wine into a small pan with a tight fitting lid. Heat until barely hot, turn off heat and stir any floating herbs back into the wine and replace cover. Add Red Raspberries. Allow to steep overnight. Strain through a cloth, squeezing out the herbs & raspberries. Sweeten if desired. Bottle the wine and put a label of contents on bottle.
BEST METHOD for MAKING THIS TEA------ full mineral extraction
Put measured Herbs in jar, pour hot water over herbs and allow to steep 4 hours to overnight. Strain tea as needed, leaving herbs in the water. Compost spent herbs.
OPTIONAL: Put some Red Raspberries in the jar with the herbs then pour the hot water over both and allow too steep for allotted time. Sweeten if desired.
