…….Rolling both of these into one class because of the time of the year.
Black Walnut nut as food is delicious & as medicine is it unsurmountable (parasitical, antifungal & yeast) and a source of natural Iodine. Best mouth, gum & teeth medicine. Garlic can be made into “medicine” but is so easily incorporated into the daily meals.
The projects for the day: medicinal uses for both herbs plus - BLACK WALNUT - Demo of making a cordial from the whole immature nuts, a how-to make tincture from the mature green hull and an easy method for dehulling ripe nuts, cracking and picking the nutmeats. GARLIC – Demo of Fermenting fresh/Green Garlic, Garlic Tonic, Uses of Garlic Scapes and growing instructions for those interested.
